All posters on this page are original US movie (or video) posters as used in cinemas/theatres to promote/advertise the movie. Available through theatres or theatre owners only.
The following are some of the common sizes of original USA movie posters:
One Sheet - measures 27x40/41 inch, 70x105 cm. The most popular movie poster size, printed on paper stock and what you see these days in most movie theaters. Issued folded until the early eighties. Until approximately 1984, the One Sheet measured 27x41 inch, usually with a border. Since the mid 1980’s, some One Sheets started measuring 27x40, normally without a border. This type of poster is often displayed in a marquee case or lightbox.
Insert - measures 14x36 inch, tall and narrow, printed on heavy card or light stock, in a very frameable size, used mostly in the lobby of movie theatres. Has often a better print (and value) than the One Sheet.
Half Sheet - measures 22x28 inch, approximately half the size of a one sheet, printed horizontal, which is landscape style, on heavy card stock. They sometimes have the most appealing print.
